Digital Projects

I am a researcher and developer for the Emma Project, co-founder for the Calliope Initiative, and developer of Marca.

In my digital humanities classes, we have established a partnership with the Hargrett Rare Book and Manuscript Library at UGA to establish Digital Park Hall, which provides access to some of the many digitized artifacts from the library's massive holdings. In addition, Digital Park Hall is a learning space in which students engage hands-on in the process of digital archiving and exhibition.

In these digital humanities classes, we have also formed partnerships with the Baroness Elsa Project, wherein students contributed by providing transcriptions and TEI encoding of pages from the Baroness' Autobiographical Manifesto, and with the Digital Thoreau Project, where students created a diplomatic encoding schema (in xml) of the marked-up versions of Thoreau's Walden.
